2009 - 2013 Citizen Voting Age Population Data by 2010 Census Block were added to the Census Data pages. The data are derived from the U.S. Census Bureau's Citizen Voting Age Population Special Tabulation from the 2009-2013 5-Year American Community Survey.

The 2012 Primary San Joaquin County (c077) files were updated to correct an issue with the precinct to district assignments. The new files are now available. Statewide data files created before this date will contain outdated records for the affected county files.

The 2012 General and 2012 Primary Statement of Vote files for all counties were updated to correct the precinct to Board of Equalization District assignments. Statewide data files created before this date will contain records with incorrect BOE district assignments.

Updated versions of the 2012 General Election sr precinct statewide boundary GIS files have been posted. The previous 02/14/2014 version of the statewide sr precinct files had incorrect precinct codes for the Yuba and Glenn counties.

We recently became aware of the fact that the age groups in the Statewide Database registration datasets are using incorrect labels. The age groups are labeled 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64 and 65 Plus when they should be labeled 18-23, 24-33, 34-43, 44-53, 54-63 and 64 Plus. All datasets back to 2002 are affected. Because most frequently age groups are used that break at -24, -34, etc. we have decided to re-run the affected datasets to adhere to this custom. We will post a note here as soon as this project is complete and the files have been replaced.

The Board of Equalization District that were added to the precinct records in the Statement of Vote files back to the 2005 Special Election earlier this year in March are inaccurate and are being reprocessed to correct this issue. The corrected files will be posted as soon as they are available.

The Santa Clara County (c085) registration statistic files were updated to correct an error. Previous versions of the file incorrectly reported the total registration as 1,091,449. The correct total registration for Santa Clara County is 811,955. Statewide data files created before this date will contain outdated records for the affected county files.
