Description:	This file contains statewide registration data for registered voters that voted by absentee ballot.  

Unit of analysis:  SR precincts are derived from consolidated precincts and are a geographic unit constructed for statistical merging purposes by the Statewide Database.

County records unavailable at time of file creation:	none	

Errata 1:	The Yolo and Sierra County precinct geography was updated to correct for rg precincts records that were not consolidated into their corresponding sr precinct. 
The errors effected records for 19 precincts in Yolo county and 1 precinct in Sierra county. New versions of the Sierra and Yolo county data and geographic files that corrected 
for this error were released on October 21st, 2016. 

Errata 2:	There are discrepancies in totals in the rg, rr and sr precinct files for four counties
037 - Los Angeles rg file has 33 more absentee voters than the rr and sr files
041 - Marin rg file has 1 more absentee voter than the rr and sr files
047 - Merced rg file has 1 more absentee voter than the rr and sr files
059 - Orange rg file has 123 fewer absentee voters than the rr and sr files
107 - Tulare rg file has 1 more absentee voter than the rr and sr files

Errata 3:  Counties who reported the majority of their VBM voters in the mail ballot file 
023 - Humboldt has a record of only 29 absentee votes. The mail ballot file has the remainder of the VBM vote
043 - San Joaquin has a record of only 77 voters. The mail ballot file has the remainder of the VBM vote
103 - Tehama has a record of only 6 absentee votes. The mail ballot file has the remainder of the VBM vote

Errata 4:  Counties who reported all of their VBM voters in the mail ballot file 
011 - Colusa, no absentees reported, mail ballot file contains the VBM vote
035 - Lassen, no absentees reported, mail ballot file contains the VBM vote
