The 2011 1st Assembly District includes the counties of Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, and Plumas. It excludes the counties of Sonoma, Lake, Humboldt, and Del Norte, which were part of 2001 Assembly District. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 redistricting process, there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 1st Assembly District. Cities include Redding, Truckee, Yreka, and Colfax.

The 2011 2nd Assembly District includes the counties of Del Norte, Trinity, and part of Sonoma. It excludes the counties of Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, and Colusa, which were part of 2001 2nd Assembly District. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process, there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 2nd Assembly District. Cities include Santa Rosa, Trinidad, Cloverdale, Eureka, Fortuna, and Rio Dell.

The 2011 3rd Assembly District includes the counties of Tehama, Glenn, and Sutter, and almost half of Colusa which were not parts of 3rd Assembly District in 2001. The district also includes Butte and Yuba counties. Cities include: Chico, Oroville, Paradise, Yuba City, and Marysville.

The 2011 4th Assembly District includes the counties of Lake, Yolo, Napa, and approximately more than half of Colusa which were not parts of 4th Assembly District in 2001. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 4th Assembly District. Cities include: Napa, Davis, Dixon, Woodland, and Calistoga.

The 2011 5th Assembly District includes the majority of El Dorado, Alpine, Mariposa, and Madera counties, which were not parts of 5th Assembly District in 2001. This assembly district also includes Mono, Tuolumne, and Calaveras counties. Cities include: Madera, Chowchilla, Sonora, Jackson, and Amador City.

District 6 (28.10% Democratic, 47.86% Republican, 19.68% No Party Preference) - Jared Huffman (D) MAP

The deviation from the ideal population is 0.70% or 3,265 out of 465,674. The ethnicity in this district is 11.97% Latino, 74.47% White, 2.51% Black, and 8.71% Asian. The 2011 6th Assembly District includes 78% of the population of Placer, approximately one-third of El Dorado County, and 10% of Sacramento County’s population. The majority of the district’s population is derived from the 2011 6th Assembly District which contained portions of the three above counties. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 6th Assembly District. The 2001 version of District 6 was located to the west in Marin. Cities within the 2011 district include: Roseville, Folsom, Rocklin, Lincoln, and Loomis.

District 7 (47.84% Democratic, 25.43% Republican, 21.74% No Party Preference) - Michael Allen (D) MAP

The deviation from the ideal population is -0.29% or -1,364 out of 465,674. The ethnicity in this district is 26.93% Latino, 43.31% White, 11.08% Black, and 14.66% Asian. The 2011 7th Assembly District is composed of approximately less than one-third of both the counties of Sacramento and Yolo, which were not parts of 7th Assembly District in 2001. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 7th Assembly District. The 2001 version of District 7 was located mostly in Napa County. Cities include Sacramento and West Sacramento.

District 8 (41.41% Democratic, 36.70% Republican, 17.39% No Party Preference) - Mariko Yamada (D) MAP

The deviation from the ideal population is -0.41% or -1,901 out of 465,674. The ethnicity in this district is 17.68% Latino, 74.47% White, 8.48% Black, and 9.14% Asian. The 2011 8th Assembly District is comprised of almost one-third of Sacramento County, which was not part of 8th Assembly District in 2001.The 2001 version of District 8 was located mostly in Solano County and part of Yolo County. Cities include Rancho Cordova and Citrus Heights.

The 2011 9th Assembly District also includes the cities of Elk Grove and Galt, which were not parts of 9th Assembly District in 2001.

Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of Assembly District. The 2001 version of District 10 was located in parts of Amador, Sacramento, and El Dorado counties. Cities include: Santa Rosa, Petaluma, San Rafael, Mill Valley, and Larkspur.

This district includes more than half of Solano, a small portion of Contra Costa, and a tiny portion of Sacramento. The 2011 11th Assembly District includes the cities of Fairfield, Suisun, Oakley, and Brentwood, which were not parts of 11th Assembly District in 2001.

Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 12th Assembly District. The 2011 version of District 12 included San Francisco and San Mateo counties. Cities include: Modesto, Turlock, Manteca, Ripon, and Escalon.

The 2011 13th Assembly District consists of the majority of San Joaquin County, which was not a part of 13th Assembly District in 2001. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 13th Assembly District. The 2001 version of District 13 included San Francisco City and County. The 2011 district is comprised of the cities of Stockton, Tracy, and Lodi.

This 2011 district also includes sections of Contra Costa County. Cities include: Concord, Vallejo, Martinez, Benicia, and Walnut Creek.

Cities include: Berkeley, Hercules, El Cerrito, Albany, and Emeryville.

The 2001 version of this district included Merced, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus counties.

This district also includes a small portion of San Mateo County as well as parts of the cities of San Francisco, Daly City, and Colma.

The cities in this district include Fresno and Clovis. The 2001 version of District 21 was comprised of Santa Clara County and the city of San Jose.

The district also includes a small portion of Alameda County as well as the cities of San Jose, Santa Clara, Fremont, Milpitas, and Newark. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 24th Assembly District.  The 2001 version of this district was comprised of Calaveras, Madera, Mariposa, Mono, Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties.

The 2011 26th Assembly District is located in the county of Tulare and a small portion of Kern County, which were not parts of 26th Assembly District in 2001. The district also includes all of Inyo. Cities include: Visalia, Tulare, Lindsay, Exeter, Woodlake, and Bishop. Due to the re-numbering of the districts during the 2011 process there is no overlap between the 2011 and 2001 versions of 26th Assembly District. The 2001 version of this district included San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County.

Other cities include Parlier, Selma, Fowler, Orange Cove, and Reedley.

This district is comprised of the cities of Santa Maria, Grover Beach, Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande, and Pismo Beach.

This district also includes small sections of Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. Cities include Lancaster, Palmdale, and California City.

It excludes Los Angeles County, which was part of 37th Assembly District in 2001. This district includes more than half of Santa Barbara County and a sizeable portion of Ventura County. Cities include: Oxnard, Goleta, Fillmore, Ojai, and Buellton.

District 38 (34.06% Democratic, 40.49% Republican, 17.96% No Party Preference) - Cameron Smyth (R) MAP

The deviation from the ideal population is 0.90% or 4,209 out of 465,674. The ethnicity in this district is 25.77% Latino, 55.62% White, 3.55% Black, and 13.41% Asian. The 2011 38th Assembly District includes the entire city of Simi Valley, which was partially excluded from 38th Assembly District in 2001. This district includes smaller portions of Ventura County and Los Angeles County. Cities include Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, and Los Angeles.
