It excludes the counties of Mono, Calaveras, Amador, and Sacramento counties that were part of 1st Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Redding, Folsom, Dorris, Fort Jones, Colfax, and Placerville. 84% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 1 and 6.

The 2011 2nd Senate District includes the counties of Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino, Trinity, Marin, and almost three-fourths of Sonoma. It excludes the counties of Solano and Napa that were part of 2nd Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Tiburon, Arcata, Novato, Sebastopol, Corte Madera, and Ukiah.  90% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 2 and 10.

The 2011 3rd Senate District includes the counties of Napa, Solano, approximately three-fourths of Yolo, slightly over one-fourth of Sonoma, and tiny portions of Contra Costa and Sacramento. It excludes the counties of Sonoma, Marin, and San Francisco. Cities include: Vallejo, Napa, Davis, Dixon, Vacaville, Rio Vista, and Winters. 65% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 4 and 11.

It excludes the counties of Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, and Del Norte that were part of 4th Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Roseville, Chico, Yuba City, Colusa, Live Oak, and Paradise. 74% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 3 and 8.

It excludes the counties of Yolo and Solano that were part of 5th Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Stockton, Modesto, Tracy, Lodi, Galt, Riverbank, Ripon, and Escalon. 84% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 12 and 13.

The 2011 6hh Senate District is composed of over half of Sacramento county and almost one-fourth of Yolo County. The 2001 6hh Senate District excluded Yolo County. It is comprised of the cities of Sacramento and Elk Grove. 80% of this senate district is made up assembly districts 7 and 8.

Cities include: Sutter Creek, Amador, Clovis, Turlock, Oakdale, Angles, and Jackson. 71% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 23 and 5.

Cities include: Fremont, Hayward, San Jose, Santa Clara, Union City, and Milpitas. 97% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 20 and 25.

This district is comprised of the cities of San Francisco, Daly City, and Colma. 100% of this district is made up of assembly districts 17 and 19.

The 2011 12th Senate District includes all of Merced and San Benito Counties, the majority of Madera, and parts of Fresno, Stanislaus, and Monterey. It includes Fresno County which was not a part of 12th Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Salinas, Merced, Ceres, Kerman, Livingston, Fowler, Huron, and Gustine. 72% of this senate district is comprised of assembly districts 21 and 30.

Cities include: Sunnyvale, San Mateo, Belmont, Menlo Park, Brisbane, and Hillsborough. 99% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 22 and 24.

The 2011 14th Senate District is located within areas of the counties of Kern, Fresno, Tulare, and all of Kings. Excludes the counties of Stanislaus, Tuolomne, Mariposa, and Madera which were part of 14th Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Farmersville, Orange Cove, Wasco, Woodlake and parts of Fresno and Bakersfield. 77% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 31 and 32.

Cities include: San Jose, Cupertino, Campbell, Saratoga, Los Gatos, and Monte Sereno. 93% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 27 and 28.

The district is comprised of the cities of Los Angeles, San Fernando, and Burbank. 90% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 39 and 46.

It excludes the cities of Long Beach, Cerritos, Downey, and Lynwood, which were part of 27th Senate District in 2001. 71% of this senate district is composed of assembly districts 38 and 45.
