Cities include: Redding, Folsom, Dorris, Fort Jones, Colfax, and Placerville. 84% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 1 and 6.

It excludes the counties of Sonoma, Marin, and San Francisco. Cities include: Vallejo, Napa, Davis, Dixon, Vacaville, Rio Vista, and Winters. 65% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 4 and 11.

Cities include: Fremont, Hayward, San Jose, Santa Clara, Union City, and Milpitas. 97% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 20 and 25.

It includes Fresno County which was not a part of 12th Senate District in 2001. Cities include: Salinas, Merced, Ceres, Kerman, Livingston, Fowler, Huron, and Gustine. 72% of this senate district is comprised of assembly districts 21 and 30.

Cities include: Farmersville, Orange Cove, Wasco, Woodlake and parts of Fresno and Bakersfield. 77% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 31 and 32.

Cities include: San Jose, Cupertino, Campbell, Saratoga, Los Gatos, and Monte Sereno. 93% of this senate district is made up of assembly districts 27 and 28.
